Human Resources Development in Asia

This book is an outcome of the First International Conference on Human Resources Development in Asia held at Bangalore in October 2002.
The Asia chapter of the Academy of Human Resource Development (the top lobal scholarly organisation in the field of HRD), in cooperation with the Indian Academy of HRD, organised this first Asian Conference. This volume brings together work by researchers and practitioners in the field of HRD coming from various disciplines and fields of study (HRD and HRM, business management, education, IT, economics, psychology, sociology and others)

Sustainable Development of Human Capital

This book has research papers divided into four categories symbolizing the main theme, Sustainable Development of Human capital. The four tracks are: new Vistas in research and HR Analytics, Macro Perspectives of Learning and development, Innovative HRD Interventions and Behavioral Dynamics and HR.

Developing Leadership for the Global Era

The book focuses on the need to bring out the real time knowledge from the field on this subject of current importance in HRD. It compiles the papers selected and edited by three experts in the field of Human Resources and Organization Developmentfor the round table conference conducted by the Academy of HRD, Ahmedabad.

Measuring Organzational Climate

The book also presents a comprehensive chapter with the concept of organizational climate with assessment and research studies. The last chapter in the book presents details of using survey feedback as an OD intervention. This book also provides all the instruments such as diagnosing the culture, environment, health etc. at one place.

Dynamics of Appreciative Inquiry

The book focuses on the strength of Appreciative Inquiry concepts and its applications in wide-ranging fields. The book is divided into two sections. The first section covers the concepts of Appreciative Inquiry and the second section includes the applications of Appreciative Inquiry.

This book is a reproduction of consulting reports submitted by us to Larsen & Toubro (First one in 1975 and the second in 1977). While the first one introduced the human resources development systems in L&T, the second established the HRD Department in L&T.
