Academy’s
Seventh Round Table Conference on the theme “Leadership
Development in the Globalised Economy: HRD Initiatives and
Interventions in Organisations” was held from November
26-28, 2004 at Ahmedabad. It was organized with an objective to
confront todays as well as future challenges. Interventions from
leading organizations viz. Dr. Reddy’s Lab., NTPC, NPCL, Infosys,
EXIM Bank, Idea Mobile Communication Ltd., Nucleus Software
Exports Ltd., Bank of Baroda, Sasken Communication Technologies
Ltd., JK Laxmi Cement, APSRTC, were featured. The Contributors’
own backgrounds ranged from corporate organizations to
institutions like IIMA, AHRD, IRMA, Silicon Institute of
Technology, IILM, Aditya Birla Institute of Management Learning,
Infosys Leadership Institute etc., from Consultancy firms like
TVRLS Ltd., Thinksoft Consultants Pvt. Ltd, Outbound Training
Ltd., Organisations and Alternatives Consulting Pvt. Ltd. etc.,
to social sector organisations such as CARE India. Papers were
presented and discussed under seven clusters of themes on
Leadership Development: Leadership Competencies for the
Globalised environment, Reflection for
Leadership Development, Interventions for Leadership
Development, Leadership for High Performance, Leadership
Development for
Culture
Building, Leadership Development in the Social Sector, Some
Perspectives and thought on Leadership Development. TOP
